Thinners are specially formulated and chemically modified compound of lignite or lignin. It controls rheology and fluid loss, extends temperature limits, emulsifies oil, reduces flocculation and stabilizes water base drilling fluids. It finds application in fresh water and sea water systems. It provides a thin, thick wall cake accompanied with low fluid loss.

Chrome Lignite is selected lignite material which has been solubilized with caustic soda and chromium salt. It is a fine dry free-flowing powder and readily disperses in the drilling mud. Chrome Lignite is highly soluble and is stable at high temperature. It exhibits tolerance for soluble contaminants. It was more temperature-stable than plain lignite in clay-based water muds.

Causticized Lignite is a causticised dispersant specially formulated and chemically modified organic compound of lignite that posseses improved dispersing ability over untreated lignite.
Causticized Lignite is a partially soluble additive that provides thin, low-permeability filter cakes accompanied by low fluid loss. It controls rheology and reduces fluid loss, extends temperature limits, emulsifies oil, reduces flocculation and stabilizes water base drilling fluids In solution, it has an alkaline pH, therefore it does not require large caustic additions to maintain a stable pH.

Use
a) Reduces viscosity and gel strengths.

Potassium Lignite is a deflocculant and filtration control agent used in potassium-inhibited fluids to maintain the potassium ion concentration for shale inhibition.

Application
a) It is especially used in inhibitive muds which utilize potassium and other compounds to inhibit clay activity in the drilling and in the formations penetrated.
b) It is used for rheology and filtration control and as a source of potassium in all water –base muds. POTASSIUM LIGNITE contains no chlorides and may be used with other potassium –base additives to formulate low-chlorides KCL free potassium systems.
c) It is normally mixed through the hopper .Normal treatments are in the range of 3-10 ppb. Higher dosage may be used in high –temperature applications
It is a specially formulated modified lignite also Known as Causticized Potassium Lignite compound manufactured from high humic acid Lignite compatible with all water base mud systems and developed specially for use in potassium based mud systems.
Lignite Powder is a naturally occurring material used to reduce fluid loss and deflocculates water base mud. Lignite Powder is a partially soluble additive which provides thin, low permeability filter cakes. It is an excellent emulsifier for oil in water emulsions as wells a secondary deflocculated and is especially effective in high-temperature applications.It performs exceptionally well in dispersed system as a synergistic additive with lingo sulphonates.It can be used in virtually any water base fluid. Lignite Powder may be used for rheology and filtration control in all water-base muds. It is especially effective at stabilizing the properties of muds exposed to high temperature and contamination such as CO2 and calcium. Lignite Powder is especially effective when treating cement contamination. It reduces the high viscosity and pH of cement contamination muds and reacts with calcium to lessen the contaminating effects.

APPLICATIONS:

a) LIGNITE POWDER is used in water based muds as a dispersant and fluid loss control additive especially at elevated temperatures and pressures.
b) LIGNITE POWDER can be used for rheology and filtration control in all water‐base muds. It is stable up to 400°F and may be used in all types of water based mud systems.
c) LIGNITE POWDER can used for rheology and filtration controls in water base mud’s and for helping maintain a constant pH. It is especially effective at stabilizing the property of mud’s exposed to high temperatures and contaminations.
d) It is normally mixed through the hopper at the rate of 10-15 minutes per sack. Normal treatments are in the range of 3-8 ppb.
Organophilic Lignite is an organic lignite. It is used to reduce the HTHP FL in the oil based mud. Organophilic Lignite helps to promote emulsification of the reverse emulsion and improve emulsion's stability, particularly used in deep wells with high temperature. Its toxicity is very low, It doesn't cause problems for the operator's health and the surrounding environment.

Chrome free lignosulphonate compound is specially formulated as a deflocculant in virtually all water‐base mud systems. Chrome free lignosulfonate additive acts as a protective gel and reduces and stabilizes viscosity and assists in reducing fluid loss.
Ferrochrome Lignosulphonate is a high grade of ferrochrome lignosulfonate thinner. It is a highly effective dispersant. Ferrochrome Lignosulphonate is used as a thinner and fluid loss control agent in HTHP wells. which controls the viscosity and fluid loss of dispersed water based systems.
